Dr. Aurelia Nicolae is a senior physician specializing in diabetes, nutrition, and metabolic diseases. I have been working in the medical field since 1988, and practicing as a physician since 2014.

I have extensive experience in: diabetes mellitus, obesity, dyslipidemia, hypertension (HTN), chronic kidney disease, congestive heart failure (CHF), peripheral artery disease, diabetes complications, endocrine disorders, and cancers, essentially, the entire spectrum of pathologies associated with diabetes.

I prescribe treatments for type 1 and type 2 diabetes, dyslipidemia, obesity, hyperuricemia, and diabetic peripheral neuropathy (DPN). I also perform ankle-brachial index (ABI) measurements, sensitivity testing, and continuous glucose monitor (CGM) placement.

Patient communication is of the utmost importance to me. I focus on providing impactful explanations, establishing clear responsibilities regarding their metabolic condition, monitoring their health status, and preventing diabetes complications.
