I am a board-certified specialist in Diabetes, Nutrition, and Metabolic Diseases. I have been practicing medicine for five years, starting with my residency, and as of this year I am a certified diabetes specialist. I do not hold a subspecialty or additional certified competencies.
During my residency at the Diabetes Clinic in Timișoara, which also includes an Internal Medicine department, I frequently managed a wide range of pathologies.
In the field of Internal Medicine, I evaluated and treated patients with respiratory infections (including pneumonia, COPD exacerbations, and bronchial asthma), allergic reactions, pyelonephritis and other urinary tract infections, as well as chronic kidney disease.
In the field of Diabetes and Nutrition, the most common conditions included type 1 and type 2 diabetes mellitus, acute complications such as diabetic ketoacidosis and hyperosmolar coma, hypoglycemic coma, diabetic retinopathy, diabetic polyneuropathy, and diabetic nephropathy. I also managed associated metabolic disorders, including hypercholesterolemia, hyperuricemia, abdominal obesity, and malnutrition. In addition, I followed pregnant patients with gestational diabetes.
I am currently practicing at Orthopedics Medical Center. I also perform on-call duties at the Timișoara County Clinical Hospital and at the “Cristian Șerban” Medical Center for Children and Adolescents in Buziaș.
I use both oral and injectable antidiabetic therapies, as well as insulin therapy, tailored to each patient’s individual needs. Careful monitoring and treatment adjustment are essential to preventing long-term complications. My approach is patient-centered, with a strong emphasis on empathy and education. I strive to understand each patient’s challenges and to build a relationship based on trust. I believe it is essential for patients to understand what diabetes is, what disease control involves, and how important complication prevention is.
Within this platform, I provide consultations for:
Adult patients with type 1 diabetes, type 2 diabetes, or prediabetes
Adults who are overweight or obese
Adults with hypercholesterolemia, hyperuricemia, or hypertriglyceridemia
Pregnant women with gestational diabetes
