I graduated from the Faculty of General Medicine at the 'Carol Davila' University of Medicine and Pharmacy in Bucharest in 1997. Following an internship at the 'Sfânta Maria' Clinical Hospital, I completed my residency in Gastroenterology at the Fundeni Clinical Institute between 1999 and 2004. In 2004, I became a Specialist Gastroenterologist at the Center for Medical Diagnosis, Ambulatory Treatment, and Preventive Medicine (formerly the 'Elias' Polyclinic), and in 2009, I attained the professional rank of Senior Physician (Primary Care Physician).
I hold medical competencies in 'General Ultrasound' and 'Diagnostic Digestive Endoscopy.' I have been a Doctor of Medical Sciences (PhD) at the 'Carol Davila' University of Medicine and Pharmacy since 2006, with the thesis 'Gastropathy induced by non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs,' under the scientific coordination of Prof. Dr. Dan Olteanu.
In 2004, I was awarded a scholarship at the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Debrecen, Hungary, and in 2006, I received an 'Advanced Fellow in Therapeutic Endoscopy' scholarship at the Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore in Rome, offered by the European Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy. Since 2013, I have served as a Principal Investigator, a role in which I have coordinated and completed 10 clinical trials to date.
I am actively involved in patient association activities, where I have delivered numerous presentations at national conferences organized by the Association of Patients with Liver Diseases in Romania, the Alliance of Chronic Patients in Romania, and the Federation of Cancer Patient Associations in Romania.
