About me

Dr. Georgiana Ion is a Specialist Neurosurgeon and holds a Ph.D. in Medicine, bringing extensive clinical and academic expertise from her work at the "Prof. Dr. N. Oblu" Emergency Clinical Hospital and Arcadia Hospital in Iași. She graduated from the Faculty of General Medicine and earned her Ph.D. at the "Grigore T. Popa" University of Medicine and Pharmacy in Iași, with a doctoral thesis focused on the optimization of microsurgical and endovascular techniques in the treatment of intracranial aneurysms.

Her clinical expertise is backed by an intensive research background, having authored numerous scientific articles, as well as by continuous professional development through international workshops and fellowships at leading medical centers in Amsterdam, Zurich, Riga, and Istanbul.

A member of the European Association of Neurosurgical Societies (EANS) and the Romanian Society of Neurosurgery, Dr. Georgiana Ion actively participates as a speaker and lecturer at major specialized conferences, seamlessly combining emergency neurosurgery with modern approaches in vascular and interventional neurosurgery.
