About me
Dr. Cătălin Gabriel Herghelegiu is a specialist in Obstetrics and Gynecology, with extensive experience in the diagnosis and treatment of gynecological conditions and pregnancy-related care, as well as in maternal–fetal medicine and advanced prenatal imaging. He is also an Assistant Professor at the “Carol Davila” University of Medicine and Pharmacy, where he actively contributes to the education and training of future generations of physicians.
He completed his residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at INSMC Alessandrescu-Rusescu and further strengthened his expertise through numerous international specializations and certifications. He holds certifications in obstetric and gynecological ultrasound, hysteroscopy, colposcopy, and gynecologic oncology, and is actively involved in prenatal screening, minimally invasive surgery, and maternal–fetal medicine.
Dr. Herghelegiu has completed advanced international training, including the Fetal Cardiology Course in Poland, clinical training at Charles Nicolle University Hospital in France, and hands-on workshops in minimally invasive gynecologic surgery in Vienna and Romania.
In addition to his clinical activity, Dr. Herghelegiu holds a PhD in Medical Sciences and has made significant contributions to medical research and education. He has delivered numerous scientific presentations at national and international congresses, addressing topics such as fetal anomalies, the diagnosis and treatment of gynecological conditions, and modern gynecologic surgical techniques. He has also published influential papers in his field, reinforcing his reputation as a recognized specialist in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
