During the final years of medical school, after completing my pediatrics rotation, I decided to choose a specialty related to children because I felt that I would not be able to do anything else as well.
Pediatrics is a constantly evolving and highly dynamic specialty, full of challenges. However, I feel privileged to contribute to the healthy growth and harmonious development of children, to bring back their smiles when they are ill, and to restore peace of mind within families through the guidance and recommendations I provide to parents.
Because I experience every day the sincerity, innocence, curiosity, and sometimes remarkable maturity of my young patients — and for every hug at the end of a consultation or promises such as, “I’ll come back to see you!” — I am certain that choosing to become a pediatrician was the right decision.
