
Dr. Daiana Petrescu (Burdușel) is a Specialist Psychiatrist, a Teaching Assistant within the Department of Biochemistry, and a PhD student at the University of Medicine and Pharmacy of Craiova. She successfully combines her clinical practice in psychiatry with intensive scientific research.
Her academic and clinical training includes completing her residency at the 1st Psychiatry Clinic of the Clinical Neuropsychiatry Hospital of Craiova, as well as completing psycho-pedagogical training programs (Levels I and II).
Dr. Petrescu has an outstanding research profile, being involved as an expert and researcher in numerous prestigious national and international projects. Her main research areas focus on the neurobiology of aging, stroke, autophagy, and the molecular mechanisms associated with affective disorders.
Her scientific work is reflected in numerous papers published in indexed international journals (such as Aging, Biomolecules, Nutrients, Aging Cell, and the Journal of Affective Disorders) and through active participation in national and international medical conferences.
